This was made for the WT473 challenge - Spring means new beginnings (4/3/14). The challenge was to use product that was new that you had not used....and the product was to be more than a month old. No problem! I have lots of "untested" products in my stamp room begging to be used in this challenge!
The relatively new products used here are the Egg Framelit and one of the leaf sprig dies. The speckles on the egg were made using an ANCIENT Stampendous cube stamp called Paper Cube. I have had it for so long I forgot I had it! (The date on the cube is 1998!). In all that time only one of the images had been used. I discovered this speckle stamp by accident when I was sorting stamps for the church yard sale. Lucky find!
This is a straightforward, simple card - easy to pop together and fun to make. I did take time to cut 5 layers of the egg shape and glue them together and shape it to curve like an egg. Another detail that added fun texture to the card was the tiny pom-pom for the bunny's tail. I found a package of tiny pink pompoms in my stash (again, ancient supply, never opened!). I was able to dye the pompom with a PTI Tea Dye cube ink pad. I glued it on while the ink was still wet using glossy accents. Couldn't believe it held, but it did! Fun to discover how versatile GA really is.
Thanks for popping by to look at my bunny on the speckled egg!
