I could say this is a clean and layered card. I started off by dry embossing it's white layer. After adhering it to the card base I began working with the bouquet, positioning the flowers in the most balanced way possible while combining them with the leaves and flourishes. I wanted the flowers to look exactly like the ones on the inspiration photo, in fact I wanted the card to project the photo entirely. The coral peony and rose were sponged with white pigment ink on their edges. I decided I wanted to use vellum for some flourishes, and mix them with the green ones to soften the bouquet a little bit. I couldn't resist to add some crystals to the smaller flowers and a vintage button to the largest one. And, to finish the design I added a Happy Birthday sentiment from a stamp set that's been with me for quite some time, but whose font is timeless. I heat embossed it on vellum with a mix of gold and silver powder I like to do once in a while. And pronto!
I hope you like my card. I would love to know what you think. Thanks for stopping by!
