This card is for two challenges: CAS265 "Color Blocking a Twist" - to add a die cut or punched shape to your color blocking, and CC471 "Sweet Medley". I chose the colors to match as closely as I could to pistachio pudding, crisp cantaloupe and pool party.
Super easy card! I punched three 1.5 inch squares from pre-embossed white paper and applied soft pastels with a Brush Stix blender and my fingers. I started to clean off the embossed parts but I like the subtle look of the tone on tone; I don't know how well it shows up in the picture. I ran the squares through my Xyron and adhered them to the card base, then added the zinnia die cut and sticker sentiment. I was going to forego dessert on the color challenge to add ribbon - I kept sticking a bow on the flower stems - it looked wonky to me. But I like the tiny ribbon along the side, so I get dessert after all. Yum!
As always, thanks for looking!

So soft and pretty! I am very impressed with your idea to apply pastel chalks to an embossed piece. The tone on tone look you achieved is so attractive. I'm popping this into my fav's so that I don't forget to try this. Lovely card! And TFS the tip about pastels!

Very pretty! Love your tone on tone technique; it shows up well in the photo. I am loving all the dark/black die cuts on the colour blocking in the gallery for this challenge and this one is superb! Great card!

The card may be simple, but it turned out so pretty. For me, the clean and simple cards are the hardest..everything has to be perfect. You nailed it. Awdome card.
