When I saw Sabrina's challenge to use no line piercing. I had in my mind to use a butterfly with a stamped face image. I decided to use Mark's Finest Papers set called FAMILY because of this vintage looking image. I stamped the image on a brown paper bag. I stamped the butterfly on the back side. And that ruined my first attempt. It was really hard to line up the butterfly. So on my second attempt, I stamped the image and I stamped the butterfly onto a piece of scrap paper. I then cut the butterfly out and held the image up to the light and taped the butterfly onto the back so I could get it lined up correctly. I then pierced around the edges of the butterfly. I used white paint to paint the insides of the butterfly. But it was too bright. So I tried doing something new. I painted with inka gold. I put a dab of it onto a pallet and used water to thin it down and used it to paint. I liked how it looked but it was a little dark so I decided to add little white dots of paint around the edges. I wanted the face to stand out so I took brown chalk and went around the edges of the image. I took several scraps of dp and an encyclopedia page and I made a collage. I embossed the collage with a swirl dry embossing folder and my cuttlebug. I then rubbed inka gold over the embossing. I added some of my hand quilled roses, daisies and baby's breath. I also added this copper ribbon. Several years ago I asked Susan (One4Joy) how to do collage because I felt really intimidated to try it. The advice she gave me really encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. She said to pick objects that meant something to me and they would work together. This card is an easel card. This turned out wonderfully, MariLynn. I so hear you on trying to line things up from the back - I often use that trick of holding them up to the light too. With me it's usually because I want to manually emboss part of the card base but not the image. The metallic finish on the butterfly couldn't be more perfect for the vintage image. And those flowers are simply beautiful!!!

Wow, it would be hard for me to part with this card if I made it.
