I love it when a challenge is posted and I have an idea for it right away! That's what happened with today's CAS challenge to use colour blocking with a die cut.
I have a stamp with six small squares for shadow blocking. I inked two squares in silver, two in gold, and two in copper (my copper is a bit pale and needs reinking). My wonderful friend Loll Thompson shared some of her copper with me and taught me how to heat it and bring out the colours. So I did that and then die cut a leaf which I added over the colour blocks. It makes for a nice masculine card so I added a heat embossed father's day sentiment on a tag with copper cord. For once, I've got a card for a specific occasion made well ahead of time, ready to mail to my father in June!

A fabulous copper card and love the color blocking. I ordered some copper, got it in, and finally made a card with it today. It was fun, fun, This is a wonderful Father's Day card.
