This is a card I made for an online card class I'm participating in. The focus of the class is one layer cards. This lesson demonstrated double embossing to create a diffused area on embossed paper in one pass through the machine, using a solid wafer thin die as a diffuser.
I had to go with Christmas since the ornament dies are pretty much the only ones I own with a solid back. This doesn't work with frame dies. Since this was technique I learned in a paid class, I won't share all the details, but after I completed the embossing, I stamped the sentiment and colored a few of the holly leaves and berries with Gelly Roll Stardust pens. I brushed the ornament with gold shimmer spritz using a small paint brush and added a little clear Wink of Stella. and used a gold metallic Gelly Roll for the hanger. I cut a reverse mask for the ornament and stamped the snowflakes with gold ink.
As always, thanks for looking!
