This is my card for the WT471 Challenge which was to used Buttons of any kind. I stretched my imagination and foune a Cuttlebug embossing strip that I'm not sure I have ever used, and made use of it today.
I folded a piece of cardstock in half to form an A2 card and then cut off the outside edge to show the inside of the card. I inked the button folder and embossed the strip that showed on the inside. Then I stamped the front of the card. I had practiced on the stip that I cut off and now I used a small circle punch and punched out some of the buttons and glued them on the front of the card. I like it.

I have that button ef..its really cute I think. I love the quote and the little girl sitting among her dolls reading to them..so darling. And you're quite the resourceful one Carol punching out those buttons with your little punch ;) Adorable card!

I am SO glad somebody used that ef, it's exactly the one I was thinking of when I mentioned embossed buttons, Carol. I was still using a pasta machine for my embossing when it was current, but I've always regretted that I couldn't foresee the need to get it for when I had better options. Punching some out is genius, too - they go so perfectly with that vintage image and great sentiment.
p.s. DH loves the calendar too. He's earmarked the owl page to keep and frame afterwards.

How cute! I love the way you used the buttons down the card as well as across. Of course your image and sentiment is as cute as can be!!
