This is my card for the MIX59 challenge "Bag It!" - to Use a plastic food bag as your "printing plate" and create a background for your project.
Even though I own a Gelli plate, I used a plastic bag as shown in the (great) video. The wrinkles added some great texture!
I started with distress inks and printed, added some stamps which you can't see and printed, put down some sky blue paint and printed, painted Wild Honey Distress paint through a stencil and printed. After this dried I sanded it back some and painted black acrylic on the bag and put down some star die cuts and printed. Looked horrible, so I sanded it WAY back and applied a wash of gesso mixed with fired brick Distress paint, sanding it back a little after it dried.
I stamped and embossed the flowers, painted with watered down Distress paints and added googly eyes to the flower centers. The sentiment was a random thought, and I had these stickers that came in a paper pad, so that's what I used. I glued them on to be sure they stayed in place.
This was so much messy fun!
As always, thanks for looking!

What an incredible background but more amazing is that you remembered all those steps!! My gosh, I wouldn't remember past the first two. Love the blooms and that fun sentiment you added!
