I have been dying to try this whitewash technique and started this card yesterday. I think I did 3 or 4 different images but decided I really liked the butterflies best. I added the little blue flowers but it still needed something..so I decided to emboss the inside..hmmm.. still not right. When I read the challenge this morning I knew exactly what it needed ..a staple! Eureka..found it!

This caught my eye as a thumbnail! Terrific close up too. :-) I really like that whitewash technique. The blue against the brown is a wonderful combination. Great card!

This is gorgeous! My gosh, those butterflies pop right off that page! I love reading about your creative process too! How clever to cut the top layer around the butterfly images!

This is awesome! Love the way you did the butterflies and those flower shaped bling for their bodies is such clever idea (and the way you hand cut around the rim of the butterfly panel and then added another white hand cut panel to mirror the shape is so classy looking!). You are right, the staple is the perfect way to attach this sentiment, it just looks "right". TFS this lovely card!

Your fussy cutting around the butterflies for the two panels ROCKS! That would have taken several times for me to get it even CLOSE (which is why Peggy uses dies). The white wash technique is so pretty on this stamp, love the accent color, the posy bling, and your staple is the cherry on top! :-)
