The MIX challenge today is to do a 'washed' background'. Another awesome challenge! My 3rd color is purple! Thanks Jeanne!
I chose to work with watercolors using the wet on wet process. After the paper was dry, I mixed gesso and Golden's 'Titanium White' with a drop of water and flicked it onto the watercolor to make stars.
Found this old book spine that I ripped to size and stamped 'imagine' right on it. It did get just a wee bit crooked, so I hope you'll 'imagine' it's straight.
Die cut the trike and adhered to the card. Thought it was kinda boring so I punched the little bird and placed him sitting on the horn. I think that the horn is 'out of order' so he's filling in and he's saving the seat for YOU!

WOW! LOVE that background! What awesome pools of color you created. You do some of the most amazing cards. Who would have ever thought to use a books spine on a card and how fabulous that is! Love that white spatter and thanks for telling us how you did it. This one is right into favorites!
