After embossing the base I highlighted the raised areas by rubbing with white distress stain. I also altered my star brad. It was bright shiny gold which was all wrong for this card, so I stuck it into the end of an old wine cork (I'm not telling how many of those I have available ) so that I would have something to hang onto, heated with my heat gun, dipped in silver embossing powder, and heated again to melt. I repeated 3 times to completely cover the gold -- apparently a tough color to cover up.

Good job on altering the brad. I have so many that I purchased years ago and the color is not right - now I know what to do with them. Thanks for the info.
I really like your splatters cs as the focal point of your card! tfs
