I'm also submitting it to the Stamping Sensations Pretty in Pink Challenge: http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.fr/
The technique I used was distress inks. Blending colors with distress inks is my favorite new (for me) technique. I stamped this beautiful Impression Obsession Hatteras with Boat Stamp (F1175) using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. I colored the image with copics. Then I layered distress stains over the entire image and spritzed with water so the colors ran together. I added more distress ink over the sun so it would be brighter. After the distress ink dried I cut a circle in a white matt using a Spellbinders circle die to cut the hole. I then glued the white layer over the lighthouse layer and used Spellbinders A2 curved matting basics B die to cut the top layer. I cut the scallop out of another Spellbinders Picot Circles die and cut the center out of that with another Spellbinders circle die (was very surprised it worked so well without a magnetic platform) and glued this delicate circle around the image. I layered the main image with gray and pink mats I cut also from the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B set. Thanks for looking!
