What a delightful technique, Sabrina! I love to gather serendipities along the way...especially at work where I try to use them in a positive way. I went to my scrap tray and pulled out 5 bits of dp and began tearing them in odd shapes. I glued them down onto a piece of cs. When dry, I stamped a swirly image at random intervals with the Stazon Platinum. I stamped this glorious tulip from Magenta directly onto my serendipitous One4Joy designer paper, embossing with the sea foam ep. I stamped the full image onto the acetate sheet in black Stazon. I colored the stem and leaves on the back side with a few Copic greens. The base of the card is embossed with an Anna Griffin 5x7 ef. I then slanted the custom paper at a slight angle to the overlay. This allowed a bit of the paper to show through and I popped the whole overlay up a bit. Tied a silk ribbon around the stem, stamped my sentiment (Dynamite Rubber Stamps) Life is Short...Art Long and there you have it.
My card also honors the Queen for the Day 201 stamperrobin. I had such a long visit to your gallery and wanted to case Tulip Blessings. I love the colors you selected and the crisp white frame. Congratulations on this and once again on your top o' the heap dirt pile, dirty dozen selection! You have blessed me numerous times with your thoughtful words.
I love to read your comments, thanks so much for taking the time to stop by! Have a wonderful week and go forth collecting those serendipities!!!

Susan, this looks amazing. I'm only peeping from my phone before work starts, but you can be sure I'll be back to see it on a full screen when I get home. It looks so soft and dainty and swirly - like chiffon!
