Here is my card for Susan's challenge to make a card with a split negative. I have never tried this technique before - it is so cool! And so easy to make two cards at one time! I stamped the big snowflake in navy and in white and cut it down the middle. I matted the back with the opposite color and then with a light blue. The panel sits on an embossed background for added texture.

I really like your idea of using navy instead of black. When I try with black, my white EP never matches my white card so I end up with a sort of triple negative. Yours looks perfect, and I love the addition of the textured background and paler blue ribbon.
