IC429 - Wee Folk Studio {02/22/14} by girlgeek101
What a wonderful adventure travelling with Salley and seeing all the beautiful creations of Wee Folk, Polly!
I was not about to tackle any stitching however, I was inspired by the travel photos and this California group in particular Picket fences.
I've wanted to do a white picket fence ever since purchasing the Heidi Swapp wood grain large background stamp from Michael's. I stamped it in Memento London Fog and cut 1" strips to pop up after stamping the ivy leaves on. The daisies are from Sizzix/Hero Arts stamp & die-cut butterflies set. The sentiment is Hero Arts.
Happy a wonderful Day!

I am always getting inspiration from you -I would never have thought of using my wood stamp for a whitewash look. I rarely use the wood stamps because I only think of dark brown wood. This is such a bright, beautiful card. Love it.

Wonderful design! Stunningly beautiful! How do you plan your designs so that everything flows together so wonderfully? Really, I think you need to write a book on this!

I love the look you achieved. The three vertical pieces have a weathered wood look. I like the ivy and the dimensional look of the flowers. Great card!

How clever of you to pick up on the white picket fence pictures! This is great and I agree with the person who said who would have thought to do that wood grain with a white washed effect..well I guess you did Angela! Lovely card!
