I have to admit when I saw today's site filled with intricate, detailed and dimensional art, I was overwhelmed....and in awe.....and thought I would "pass". But after looking at other cards in the IC gallery, my thoughts changed to...."I can do that".
I had been intrigued by a technique that Heather Nichols presented on her blog and decided to try it using the colors of this piece of art.
Thanks, Polly, for introducing me to this artist's incredible work.

Sallie, this is incredible! Oh my gosh how gorgeous! The colors and coloring in the floral image are absolutely amazing. I love that subtle background you used for it!

I'm glad you reconsidered doing a card today. I admire the colors that the artist uses in her pieces..they're just so yummy. You sure got the color scheme nailed in your card..your layering of inks is brilliant...it sure makes for one stunning card!

Another beauty. I love the "swiss cheese" die cut bkg. I have never seen it. As usual, your work on the flowers is awsome and the layout and colors look great.

nice inspiration interpreted in YOUR style, Sally! And I can't even imagine you being overwhelmed (insert big smile here). Love the flowers here and the lattice, you have captured the essence of Salley.

I admit I was overwhelmed at the beginning too, and the gallery led me to my craft room as well. Beautiful card based on your inspiration piece!
