I just had to make another card for the IC today inspired by this post from Wee Folk Studio: http://weefolkstudio.com/2014/02/20/elis-jacket/
I loved the look of that little jacket so I attempted to re-create it.
First I rubbed Faded Jeans, Salty Ocean and Broken China Distress inks onto my cs with a blending tool. Next I sprayed water on my piece to blend the colours. When that was dry, I laid pieces of drywall tape over the card front and sponged on more of the bkg. colours and kept adding more water. I love the look. Lastly, I stamped and embossed the tree branch and the sentiment.
thanks for looking,

Fabulous background work, Karen! Those distress colors are gorgeous and the perfect backdrop for the silhouette and sentiment!
