When I saw today's Love Fest challenge was to make a card inspired somehow by the phrase "heartfelt greetings" I thought about using felt on my card. I'm way behind on the queen for the day challenges and had a beautiful card from last week's queen Kathy LeDonne already in mind. Although I had the main sets she'd used, I decided to try to use some current ones instead. I couldn't skip the retired River Rock paper and ink though as it is one of my all time faves especially for neutral only and/or sympathy cards. I stamped the first layer with River Rock on the same in the Floral bg stamp and sponged the edges. My grey layer is Smoky Slate stamped with the leaves inked with the same but with spatter from Gorgeous Grunge in Basic Grey kissed on. I used the same technique on the main panel with River Rock and Grey as well as Slate and Grey. I stamped my flower stem in Grey and the flowers in River Rock. I rock n rolled the small one and then added a bit of glitter. I die cut my leaves in grey felt and also cut a strip instead of using the ribbon that Kathy had. I used ovals instead of circles for my heartfelt sentiment.

Gail - what a really beautiful sympathy card. I love your main panel, and the felt foliage spray. I admire you trying to catch up with missed challenges - I've given up on that this year!
