Lovefest member company Stamp-n-storage asked us to share our organization stories and photos. I'll capture some of my stamp room, but not the super messy parts! Let's just say that I have room for improvement!
My main issues all along have been piecing together a mish mash of hand me down, thrifted or garage saled items for my storage. I'm blessed to have more stamping stuff than I know what to do with sometimes but when it gets too messy then it is hard to enjoy the crafting. The areas where I have achieved organization are so much easier to restore than those "problem areas" dp and scraps come to mind! I'm in an unfinished basement but it has really good light. I've positioned myself between two windows. We painted a piece of plywood and DH put up my rails. These hold most of my punches and the hanging plastic buckets hold tools (scissors, foam brushes, distressing tools etc). The main drawer systems have two colors of SU paper each and the far right drawers hold the In Colors and dp. The labels were a clearance find of MS metal pieces that I have slid a piece of the card stock in. I occasionally pay my youngest DD to file scraps for me right into the drawers! Ribbon is still a problem for me. I have overflowing baskets of current SU color ribbons. Non SU and retired colors are in some plastic drawers. Also on top of the cs drawers are baskets with adhesives, some paint stuff and non-su and SU border punches. I inherited the wooden rack to the left of the drawers from a friend who sold candles-they held ball jars on the rack. I have my loose wood stamps in pencil boxes on those shelves. I used to have my SU wood sets on these racks, but they just didn't sit right and I'd have frequent stamp avalanches where I'd about cry with frustration at the jumble of stamps out of boxes mess that resulted. The tall stacking plastic drawers have ep, pastels, buttons and some tins for altering.
