My title??? Yankee Doodle stuck a feather in his cap ;-).
For Dawn's TLC Doodling Made Easy challenge.
Even with the prompt about feathers in the sentiment, DH didn't recognise my diecut shape as a feather, initially, so I added some more doodling to it .
A2 kraft base. WPlus9 Fanciful Feathers cut from more kraft, old Joanna Sheen marbled paper layered behind it. Verve sentiment, and a little Studio Calico wooden bird. It still seemed too bare and blank, so I did some old-school dry embossing using an embossing folder.
Top tip - to see what I was doing from the back, I worked out where I was positioning the folder, and held the card in place. Then I inked the bottom layer of the folder and pressed it closed over the back of the piece of card. That gave me the lines to emboss.
Lots of white gel pen.
What a fun challenge, Dawn.
This is also my card for the Taylored Expressions LOVEFEST 2014 challenge, Doodle-Do. No TE stamps here - I did have a set but I RAKed it to someone looking for that particular set - and it never arrived :-(.

So beautiful, Sabrina! First the white on Kraft, then the sentiment and reference to the feather, and then the way you did the feather, all of this is beautifully creative!

Sabrina this looks terrific. I tried this technique with dismal results, you have inspired me to give it another go. I always love reading about the input from your DH.

I got the title immediately. This is a lovely card "built" in the simple fashion of Sabrina and I really like it. The little heart reminds me of a cookie. Yum. And the sentiment arrangement is beautiful.

Terrific card, Sabrina. Beautiful sentiment stamp, love the tiny bird and your feather is great. Love how you added the embossed and doodled flourish!
