There is nothing more rewarding than working with a child. Ryan is 6 and has been stamping for 2 years. While helping his sister with a difficult technique I had masked a panel for him to sponge. He has had an uncanny ability to sponge from early on. I then dug out small stamps and had him fill in the panel which he had fun doing. Since I was preoccupied I handed him the white gel pen to see what he'd do with it. This happened. Thanks for stopping by.

Definitely a very talented child! But I would not be looking and marveling at his work without the work of a talented teacher/mentor. You gave him the chance to play with sponging. You masked the panel, and handed him the stamps. Then you gave him a gel pen "just to see what he'd do". The result is lively and vibrant.
He is lucky to have you in his life!
Of course, I assume you then took his wonderful work and finished it off with the splatters, brads, distressed frame panel and sentiment. Lovely!
Maybe don't rush the art school thing. He's 6. Let him roam freely without any kind of imposed curriculum for a while yet.
