Running late on this week's MMTPT How Great Thou Art challenge. Not too happy with this but glad I found time to make something. I like this set, but have trouble making a good card with it. I made one I liked over the Christmas break but apparently I gave it away without ever taking a photo of it, so I didn't even have that as a guide to help me.
Loved listening to the hymn - brought back memories of DH's sister's wedding many years ago, it was one of the solo songs.
Base - stamped the map background, sponged it with blue, brown and green. Added various metallic embossing powder round the edges - copper, gold, verdigris, and some black rub-on. Tried tying some twine but it didn't look good so for at least some interest I added a corner of torn, embossed and sponged vellum.
Image panel - image and sentiment stamped on watercolour paper and embossed with clear EP. Colours sponged on.
Meh...but I hope Sharon will like it.

Hate to disagree, Sabrina, but this is a very pretty card. And I love seeing that BG. I have it sitting in my shoebox of CACs but haven't used it yet. Now I am inspired. Your sponging and embossing around the edges of the map is really beautiful. The embossed vellum corner is an unexpected touch. And the water-color style treatment of the mountain scene is a nice setting for that beautifully styled verse.

What an inspired card, Sabrina!! Amazing Grace lends itself to lots of inspiration!! Your majestic mountains, and this wonderful Scripture against the BG of the map makes such a wonderful card!! Loved the watercoloring, and that embossed vellum corner was a stroke of genius!! Hugs!

Beautiful!! Sabrina, this scene of God's creation is grandeur in itself! It is out in nature where I feel closest to God, after all, it is his creation!

Sabrina, this is a gorgeous card - your sky looks so real. Glad you liked the hymn. Many years ago I heard a 90 year old man with a booming voice sing it and it quickly became a favorite. Susan Boyle doesn't have the same strong voice, but I liked her video.

I agree is a great card, from the neat background to your image with soaring eagle, and your verse. I too have stamps that is to make cute card but can never make it work, so awaits another day.
