I really did start this challenge with markers that matched all of the colors for the challenge as closely as I could match them. The techniques I used mixed the colors a little bit so you'll just have to take my word for it. I started with scribble crayon resist. I took white cardstock and drew "cracks" for my "scribble" with a gray crayon. I then did my altered altered version of ink spray smash called ink spray blow smash where I blew the puddles with my straw before smashing. I used the two blues and the gray for that. Part of that cardstock I went a step further to glue torn pieces from a page from an encyclopedia. I then ink spray blow smashed it again with the colors. Then I did faux barn board over the top of that. On top of that I added pieces of drywall tape. I stamped the birdcage using versamark and the new MFP birdcages stamp set. I heat embossed it with a sparkly silver. I have had this silver for a long time and still have a lot of it because it has a glittery look to it as well as the silver. That isn't usually my style, but I tried doing it in copper and gold and neither of those birdcages looked good with the colors. I took the coral and yellow and ink spray blow smashed them onto white typing paper. I punched out the flowers, shaped them with a stylus and added pearls to the center. I outlined the pieces with my silver marker, added a paper doily and ribbon. I added little star brads in the corners of my card because they were the only "Silver" brads I had, plus I think dreams and stars go together. No dessert for me this week.

Wow - what a lot is going on here!! Your crayon "cracks" lend a very interesting dimension to your BG. The layers of textiles and texture are fascinating. I love your birdcage and the delightful theme of your sentiment. The warm contrast of your flowers gives a lot of life to your card. Thanks for sharing your process...this is absolutely lovely!
