Today's color challenge has a lot of wonderful colors to pick from. I chose the starfruit, sky, smokey, & pacific.
we are in the middle of a snow/ice storm & we've lost power twice already and we still have the worst part to come tonight/tomorrow. So I'll try to get thru this while I still can
On a piece of the designer paper, I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting with the chalk ink in a section of the dp that seemed perfect for it. After die cutting on a curve, I also die cut a border section using the reverse side of the same piece of dp. I stamped the sweet branch image w/ the teal ink, added a hint of color & fussy cut it.
On a piece of ivory card stock, I stamped the ODBD honeycomb bg with a combination of the two distress inks & the Memento ink. I added color with Copics in just a few of the honeycombs & sponged the edges with the straw ink. Since the card front was white, I also sponged the edges of it to better coordinate.
Thanks so much for looking! Hopefully I'll have power & be back to comment later. It's also on my blog: The Write Stuff

I love that Nestie set myself...adds such interest to a clean layout. Your combination of Mary's choices is lovely, but my fingers hurt just looking at all of your fussy cutting! Well worth the effort because this card turned out beautifully! Stay warm!

Beautiful card with the 4 colors that you chose, Julie. Lovely honeycomb bg incorporating the colors and the aqua flowering branch is beautifully done.

So very creative and the results are just gorgeous. You are inspiring me to use those curvy die cuts which I have mostly ignored. I love your design and the many stamps, etc. used to create this.

WOW is this fabulous Julie!!! Another cool way to use hexagons. I love the colors you chose to use. Your foliage is beautiful, and I like the way you lined up two rows of paper piercing.
