This is my sample for this weekÂ’s cc465. I am your hostess and I have chosen summer starfruit, soft sky, smoky slate, calypso coral and pacific point. You can use all 5 or just pick 3 of them. Dessert is to make a nautical card. We always need masculine cards so this is a perfect opportunity.
My card is using dsp from SU’s “high tides”collection. Love this paper and it has all the colors I chose this week.
My stamps are from the Verve set "strong anchor". I stamped the center image and then used a smaller Spellbinder circle die to cut the center. Stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and adhered to the pacific point panel.
The anchor is a Verve die that is a companion to this set. The stars and pennant flags are other Verve dies. The stars are cut in summer starfruit and the anchor and pennants in smoky slate.
I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder "clock works" on my center panel.
My card layout is using the week 2 sketch from the January Viva la Verve challenge.
ThatÂ’s my card for today. Hope you can play along with us this week. You may be our next CC fave of the week, and your card featured on our Splitcoaststampers Pinterest CC board. Check it out here.

So many wonderful elements in this card, Mary - I love the detail in your center panel and the wonderful texture behind it. Fun BG paper choice. Thanks for this wonderful combination...I never would have put these together, but I'm glad that you did!

Wonderful use of all of your colors, Mary. This is a perfect card for the man in your life who gives you love and support. I say "man" since the nautical references all give the feeling of a "guy card".
