Wow! What an stimulating site this week. Thanks so much Jo for the suggestion. These place-mats were my inspiration for this card to-day. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/stor...+gold+placemat . Ever since I saw this beauty CC459, Last card by Holstein at Splitcoaststampers in Linda's (Holstein) gallery I have been in envy of her skills so I knew that I had to try it...I just didn't know what it was going to look like until I saw the place mats. The journey between the thought and the final product is not always a straight line. So after 2 or 3 false starts I am satisfied with this card. I absolutely love my PSX fine crackle stamp and so many ask about it. Unfortunately it is very old and probably impossible to find with no acceptable substitute that I have seen to date. Sorry.... I use the tatted lace die from Cherry Lynn a lot also...sometimes you just get into a rut and can't get out! LOL

Sue this is unbelievable.....I love the look of light you achieved and I also love how close you came to your inspiration piece. I also love your line "The journey between the thought and the final product is not always a straight line' and have every intention of stealing it and using it some day!!

Sue, your brush stroke roses are BEAUTIFULLY DONE....you're a master! Love them on the Kraft and the dot accents made with a round object and sizing down as you went.
