The challenge to-day was to 'colour something'! ..mmmm my favourite thing is watercolour and there you have it! I white embossed the flower on a piece of Arches 140 lb watercolour paper and started to paint with inks that were wiped on a piece of glass. I could have used a dot of the actual re-inker but I find I get a softer look from the swipe technique. I really enjoyed to-days challenge and hope to do a couple more very soon.

Sue, your watercoloring is truly EXQUISITE!! How you did this blossom looks like a "china painting" style with its delicacy and beautiful shadings of color. You signed your artwork...and well you should. A fav for sure! Outstanding artistic talent.

Wow. This belongs in an art gallery. The only ones that rival the beauty of this are the ones you sent me!! I loooooooooooove your watercolouring!!! I love the deep dark shadows from underneath the petals, fading to the lovely pale tones at the edge.
