Today Birgit is challenging us with Hearts in the Mix-Ability Forum with MIX54: Hearts.
I'm using some paper that I created and using on multiple cards and projects for this months holiday. When you use acrylic on gesso covered paper it turn into a very vibrant paper. The ink pad impressions are more vivid (heat set them if you don't want to smudge them) like a glossy paper, but what I love the most about it will have to be the texture. There's a tooth to it that I love.
I stamped with white ink the small heart from Verve's [E]More than Love[/E] around the edges. Stamped the larger heart and the sentiment in black (heat setting it).
The green paint was added with a dry brush and fingertip, then I added more small hearts by stamping off the first inked impression on scrap paper and then onto the card base (this creates a pale colored image).
I was going to add a ribbon bow, but it just wouldn't work well with the black hearts and sentiment so I used washi tape. :)
