The challenge for Speedy Fox and Friends this week was to make a card using gesso. I got all gung-ho and ordered gesso about 6 weeks ago. Can you believe it was just sitting on the shelf unused for the entire time? Well, believe it, it is true. Thankfully this challenge forced me to leave my comfort zone and use it. I started out with cardboard from a cracker box. I painted it with gesso. I laid down the masking tape and added the "goopy" stuff known as sculpting paste. I waited for it to dry and sponged ink on it, as well as adding ink direct to paper. The ribbon was made with thread from a piece of burlap.
