Kyra's challenge to us this week is to create layers upon layers on our projects. Today is Chinese New Year, so I went with that theme. I didn't document my process on the background... but I used dye and Versafine inks, white India ink, gold Delicata ink, gold embossing powder, Crafter's Workshop stencils, plastic canvas, spray paint, and Micro Glaze. The Lanterns image is from my newest release from Impression Obsession, as are all the other stamps I used on the background.
In the corners of the background I sprinkled gold embossing powder randomly, and heated it from the back side of the panel to melt it.
I made the tassel from gold embroidery thread, using my BowEasy.

This is GORGEOUS! Love the image and the soft muted colors with the gold embossing, your tassel is super fun, and that layered panel is totally impressive! Wow! Hugz!

Wow, this is fantastic. I love the deep, rich colors with the cold accents. The colors and the image plus the layout all work together and add up to fab. Great use of textures.

This is a stunner. I could sit and look at it all day long. I love every little detail! You are so clever to make your own tassel - why didn't I think of that? Gonna have to try it!

Dina the background and colours are amazing, so rich, I was going to say you might make some funky backgrounds while under the influence of the medi patch but I see you've done a great job even under the influence.

Beautiful work! Embossing the lanterns image with gold is a great idea. The red and gold is perfect for CNY. The gold twine and tassel completes the whole design.
