I have been procrastinating for a very long time with my desk surface getting messier and messier. Today I tackled the pile and put away lots of pieces to use later. I had seen the colors for today's CAS challenge so I made a pile with elements in those colors and challenged myself to make some cards using only or mostly the scraps from the pile. I had this little flower tag and the Suede tag so I layered those together. The triangular piece was already embossed and sponged. I had a scallop square that I cut a piece of and I even had the little hemp bow. The red & white square was also a reject so once I'd formed my collage I just glued to an already cut base and my card was done.

wonderful card Gail, love what you can do with some scraps.. I love the idea of you cleaning off your desk, and setting aside elements with the colors for the CAS challenge... what a great approach to getting both done.

This is so clever to challenge yourself to use scraps! I'm sure we have some great finds in scraps if we put our minds to using them. What a great card you came up with. I love that all the elements all sized proportionately!
