One of my step-sisters recently gave me a huge box of stamps - as a thank you, I'm making her a bunch of every day cards she can use. This is one of them.
While I've participated in many SCS challenges, this is also my first Inspiration Challenge! Integrity Graphics had so many wonderful designs to choose from, but I went with this one: http://www.etsy.com/listing/15950757...l-personalized
Some details:
- I free-handed the white lines that outline the black piece
- The Bermuda Bay base was sponged around the edges - I don't think you can really tell that in the pic
- Using the Apothecary Accents Framelits, I cut 2 using Basic Black Cardstock - I trimmed one about 1/8" shorter, cut the piece in half, and cut the rounded part off the end and then put it underneath the normal cut piece to make the double layer (if that makes sense??) After cutting the back Apothecary Accent piece, it dawned on me I could have just cut a square piece of cardstock... oops!!
- The black panel is popped up with Dimensionals
TFL! :-)

Your first inspiration challenge card is beautiful - love the simplicity and the chevron dp in Bermuda Bay - and you drew those white framing lines, wow, you have a steady hand!

Great job! I love how you did the edging free hand. I was working with this journal as inspiration and figuring out the inset was definitely a challenge!
