For this week's warm/cool ways-to-use-it challenge. I threw a tantrum. Because we're not freezing here in western Oregon, I'm assigned warm colors. SO NOT WARM! It's foggy gray and we really need the rain and mountain snowpack. In the midst of my snit fit, I threw together a card that I later decided is more appropriate for the mini-vsn challenge I'm hosting... so you all will have to wait for that one.
Then I remembered that the best remedy for rebellious temper is gratitude, so I made thank you cards using warm colors. I used a quilters' trick (wonky stars) to make this set. Can you figure out how the stars were made?

I love your wonky stars, Brenda! I have an idea of how you may have made them after your initial whine, but not really sure. But they have a wonderful 'primitive' quilt feel in those wonderful, warm colors. I have a sneaking suspicion that the came together very quickly with whatever technique you used, and would love to know your secret as they are fabulous!
