I made this card for today's Technique Lovers Challenge - Dawn asked us to use our aqua painter (waterbrush) to color in a white embossed image on kraft card stock.
I white embossed my rose on kraft, then masked the rose and stamped the leaf to white emboss. I watercolored the rose with pink passion and real red inks and the leaf with old olive. I die cut the kraft panel with a stitched rectangle die from Lil'Inker Designs. I stamped the sentiment in the corner, added some enamel dots and adhered the panel to a piece of patterned paper that had roses on it - layering that to my white card stock base.
I haven't watercolored with my aqua brush for years and I love how this came out! Thanks for bringing back this forgotten technique Dawn!!

Beautiful get well card, Julia. Your blossom is colored in a bold and dramatic way which contrasts nicely with the roses in the bg DP. Love the enamel dots and sequin as accents and the wonderful vintage fonts of your sentiment.
