This is for the CAS challenge to use scallops and for the Retro Sketches #98. The heart was diecut from Bo Bunny Love Letters DP and I wanted to soften it with a vellum overlay. I saw the Retro Sketches challenge and thought it would be perfect for the layout. Love was diecut and placed on the vellum panel, then I determined where to stamp the "you" underneath the vellum piece, so it would show through the heart. The top vellum panel was stitched onto the card base with black thread and the help of the stitching lines dies.

Sue, your valentine has a wonderful contemporary look with the CAS layout and the way you have sewn the vellum to partially cover your patterned heart.

Such a pretty heart and I like how you stitched your vellum overlay. Pretty sentiment, too.

Very cool! Love that you stamped the word "you" under the vellum. Great paper for the heart die cut, and I will definitely have to check out the stitching dies!
