Lydia's Mix-Ability challenge this week is Happy Little Clouds.
For our inspiration today Audrie brought us to her Nighty Night Pinterest collection, and I took this Hand-painted Silk Poppies as my inspiration.
I ran with the silk idea as well as the poppies - so, I stamped my poppies on tissue and embossed them to see how that would work out because I don't know HOW many times I've smudged my tissue crumpling it up before the ink was properly dry.
I finger-painted my clouds on the back, and coloured the poppies on the front. Crumpled it all up, and then stuck it to some white card I had coloured blue using wrinkle free distress. It's matted on black and green.
I was going to use my lovely big SNSS Happy Birthday stamp but I need to go and search my desk for it, so I thought this sentiment from Fabulous Florets made a good option b.

Oh my gosh, this is awesome Sabrina!! I love your clouds on the tissue paper!! Very awesome technique to use for them. I'm glad you chose the poppies too - they are a beautiful bright color. Great job combining the two of these challenges.

Beautiful card and I love your faux silk technique. Good job with the finger painted clouds, too.

WOW, I have never heard of the faux silk technique...that is totally cool!! love your happy clouds too! (I made the mistake of doing them on heavy WC paper). I love the crinkled up look too!
This is so colorful and happy...your sentiment goes perfect with it!

Sabrina - this is lovely! The texture on the focal panel really makes this card stand out. And you've chosen beautiful colors. What a happy card.

I knew which inspiration piece you chose, immediately! I was wishing I had a stamp or die to fit that. You did an amazing job creating this beautiful card - love the clouds and the crinkly texture and of course the hot pink flowers!
