This was a card for someone I greatly admire and she has influenced my work more than anyone. I had "ctorina" memorized when I FIRST started perusing Splitcoast and I was then developing what would becone my signiture style.... monocromatic. If you look at her gallery you will see what I mean! She is the Queen of elegant sophistication and monochromatic!
Word was put out that she could use some cheer so I made this card for her.
Again I was using some borrowed Spellbinder dies. I wasn't happy with my bow (hers are magnificent!) but decided it was the thought that counted.
EDIT: GEEZ you would think I could get her name right! My husband caught my mistake of putting "For Colleen" so I am fixing it tonight.

I think your ribbon treatment is perfect for the card - it allows the die cut to be seen in all it's glory! You are celebrating a wonderful crafter with your card, I love her work too.
