Congratulations to our Featured Stamper today, Miss Minx! I have long admired her work and was happy I had just a few minutes to play today. HERE is the card that inspired my card.
Isn't it funny how things come about sometimes when it comes to card making? What originally drew me to this card was how Cary used a long pin across the top and added a charm to it. I couldn't wait to try that! However, by the time I had used the image and dies I wanted, the card was a bit wider than A2, and then I had no pins long enough to go all the way across, and mine looked dumb! Lol! So.... I ended up creating a stick pin and putting it in the lace, and added a brad medallion instead of the charm. I used Cary's sketch, changing the scallop to a bracket border on one side, and adding the ODBD Quatrefoil die cut in Perfect Plum as a backdrop.
The image I used is a sneak peek at a set to be released Jan 1 by Our Daily Bread designs called "Lavender". If you want to see another sneak peek project using some glass bottles and fun things inside, please have a look at my blog post today: HERE
I stamped this image with Memento and colored with Copics, cut with the Antique Labels die from ODBD, and sponged with TH Distress Ink in antique linen. I added a bit of lace and three lavender pearls (instead of Cary's one large on either side).
I love your gallery Cary! I'm sorry my card didn't really do yours justice... but I know you can see it was all inspired by yours!!! Enjoy your day! You are so deserving of this honor!!!
Thanks so much for taking a peek!

I've said more than once that sometimes cards create themselves, and no matter how hard we try to do it our way, it doesn't always look the best! I can almost smell that lavender, Grace! I love the sweet aroma it gives off and can't wait till it's out once again. Beautiful card, and I really like all your feminine additions-lace, stick pin, pearls & pretty medallion! Lovely~

Lovely lavender image and I like how you carried the theme through with your palette of colors for the DP and the Moorish grille. The lace and stickpin are pretty feminine additions.

Oh my goodness Grace..........you've used that lavender stamp too. The ODBD website has a spot for the January releases but nothing in it yet!! YIKES........ I want that set.
The bottle labels you've created are exquisite!! Really brings back memories of the lavender fields in Provence......
Guess I know what I'll be doing on New Year's Day !!! ha ha
Just beautiful..... TFS
