My card for today's IC and yesterdays' F4A is a New Years card for a friend. It says JOY on the outside and Happy New Year w/a msg on the inside. I could not copy a direct link to my inspiration but this: //www.sharonmccartneyart.com/large-multi-view/Stone%20Pillows/1936665-6-166327/Stone%20Pillows.html] is the page. It's the fourth on the right, called Spell Collection. I made my background with five different stamps in three colors and added some "messy" faux stitches. it was inspired by the kraft and brown colors, as well as, the rusty circles and stitching. I was inspired to add a bird by the fossil-looking "branch" which reminded me of a bird's claw. The blue "stone" inspired his color, which I stamped in blue, then selectively, direct to stamp, inked specific areas of the bird image to add another layer of color. I thoroughly enjoyed making this card. For the F4A challenge, I selected 2013's Blues and Brown F4A155, challenge.
Thanks for looking! :)

Oh my - this is totally adorable. The texture in the background is simply amazing, but like your other card this one brings back memories. A LOT further back - when I was growing up we had a tame jackdaw who fell down the chimney as a fledgling, and we never could release him because he had grown too acclimatised to our cats and wouldn't have survived in the wild. Your little bird reminds me so much of him.
