We recently moved and are right across from an old order Mennonite school. This is a thank you for an invitation to their Christmas program. Inside is a thank you message and on the back is the digi poem about the candy cane:
Look at a candy cane what do you see?
Stripes that are red, like the blood shed for me.
White for my Saviour who's sinless and pure,
"J" is for Jesus, my Lord that's for sure.
Turn it around, and a staff you will see.
Jesus my Shepherd is coming for me.

I am so glad your sweet comment led me here to your gallery today, Michele. This beautiful card is going into my favorites! I love the wonderful background you have created for your candy canes, and I am lucky enough to have that sentiment set! Since the Christmas Card Challenge theme is peace this month, I will pull it out to finish my cards for January.
