I was sitting mindlessly watching TV with the family when I suddenly remembered that I had never completed a card for my sketch challenge sample....oops! Good thing I had this one in the works. I had seen a really pretty ring on Pinterest that I thought I could work toward replicating using Monday's technique of clear embossing on dark card stock. I alternated embossing with clear and white ep and added a brad center. I used my floral framelit to cut out my piece but then had to fussy cut a bit as I hadn't lined up quite perfectly. I also embossed my sentiment. As I was using the sketch, the vertical and horizontal strips reminded me of ribbon on a gift so that's the direction I went which required me to move one strip to the front instead of behind the main panel. I also enlarged this panel to accommodate my embossed piece and still have a sentiment. I dry embossed the card base with the chevron embossing folder. I used glue dots to add my bow.

Wow Gail... this is just simply beautiful. I love effect of the clear embossing on the coloured cardstock - so simple but yet so striking! Love each layer of colour! Thanks for making such a wonderful card example for my sketch this week!

Such a great holiday birthday greeting. Very well done.
