This is my project for the MIX45 challenge Chalk It To Me! - use Versamark ink and craft chalks or Pan Pastels to make your project. And since the image was stamped on a book page, it also meets the WT456 challenge to use script.
I used Sabrina's trick of scraping the pastels over the stamped image and using a brush to work in the color. It was a pure guess deciding where the red should stop and the green begin, but I think it turned out pretty well. I made such a mess on the page that I had to cut out the image. I misted it with shimmer spray and added Stardust pen to the center of the bloom, and sprayed it with fixative so that nothing would rub off.
The base is the back of an old card and is has lots of texture. I added some of the chalk dust using my finger to define the dimension a little better.
I could NOT get a picture showing the color properly - the poinsettia and edge of the base layer are really a maroon shade; Photoshop was no help either!
As always, thanks for looking!

Jody this turned out fantastic! Chalk can be a bit messy, but the effect is lovely. Love that torn edge, too. Thank you so much for playing my challenge!
