Just making Christmas gifts - I made a set of four coasters. I used today's WTC as my jumping off point. I LOVE this stamp! I just recently got it from Hero Arts because of their incentive program - I'm so sad they're discontinuing it after 2013 :(
If you're not familiar with making tile coasters, there's a great tutorial in the SCS forum. For mine, I washed off the dust and let it dry overnight. Stamped the house in black StazOn, then made a mask from regular paper and temporary adhesive. Sponged the cherry red StazOn around the house edges and under the roof eave. The ink is permanent so you don't need to bake it, but I like to hedge my bets so when I'm giving them away I usually bake them in the oven at 300 for 30 minutes and let them cool in the oven just for added insurance. Better to be safe than sorry when it's a gift, you know?
Then I finished it off with the self-adhesive backed felt circles - you can get these at Home Depot, Lowe's, or Wal-Mart.
I kept wanting to add a little snow to the roof and chimney, but I couldn't figure out how to do that and still keep it a flat absorbent usable coaster. Besides this way it's useful all year long.
Thanks for looking
