Thank you Cathy for the wonderful sketch today and to our sample makers! Your work was inspiring. When I opened the doors to my studio this morning, the first thing my eyes spied was the Wordsworth names of Jesus stamp. That was my jumping off point and I dove right in!
I decided I wanted to create the heavens and earth on the front of an A2 card. I inked up the Stampland unmounted starry night image with the Onyx Black and embossed with clear ep. The stars were inked in with a Gelly Roll pen named Starry. IRL those stars dance across those heavens. My middle layer was a portion of the hemisphere inked with Memento Rich Cocoa. The ocean waves were from a long hoarded scrap of PaperHouse Renoir Seascape painting (circa 1879). I stamped Jesus names onto a piece of Fabscrapusa paper called 'Dreams', embossing it in Silver Pearl and cut with a Spellbinder die. It is popped above the heavens and earth. Between the layers I used German scrap in silver and a bright blue that I toned down by embossing with VersaMark and Silver Pearl ep. The banner elements were finished by snippets of vintage upholstery fabric and a woven braid that reminded me of a strand of DNA.
I was blessed in the creating of this card and it will carry me through my very stressful day job...and for that I am so very thankful. Deep breath, it is wonderful what therapy our art can do, wouldn't you say! Thank you for the gift of your time and comments. I'll be sneaking peaks on my breaks and be blessed by the gallery as well.

This card is not only beautiful but also very meaningful. You have taken a vision and made it into reality, with lots of depth! I love the sky and the old world map as well as those beautiful waves. I believe I have a sheet of that paper left too. Adding the strand of 'DNA' is a touch of genius!

This is truly spectacular!!! I know what you mean about this being our therapy. I originally started school for art therapy, and often wonder how that would have affected others and myself. Thanks so much for sharing Susan. :>)

I just love the way you incorporate pieces of paper, ribbon, and words to fit together like a perfect jigsaw puzzle. Each part is such an integral piece of the whole. You warm my heart with your messages. You fill my eyes and soul with your art. You are amazing, my friend!

Straight into my favourites, Susan, so that I can come back and enjoy all the details again soon. I love every detail - I'm a sucker for maps, and the starry sky is so amazing. And of course the sea - I grew up within earshot of it and still miss it. I hope you knew that peace and the Prince of Peace with you all day.

From the heavens, to the planet, to every nation proclaim His holy name. Love how your panels each represent all the domains that God created and gave Christ to reign over. Just studied that passage of Isaiah this AM in my Bible study I attended.
