This card started out inspired by this pinterest picture. I had made a BUNCH of book page trees and had a big pile of scraps left over that I couldn't bear to just toss. So, I used Modpodge to layer them all over a sheet of card stock. When dry, I put a thin layer of matte white Gesso over this. I cut a piece then stamped my Poinsettia with Stazon black. I then watered down my Cherry reinker drops and painted the flower. I masked over this and stamped some more of the petals in Stazon Olive. I then painted them with Artichoke reinker. I used a sharpie to outline some of the areas where the uneven paper had caused the ink to be omitted and had to ink in all the center part. I then used a Versamarker to fill these in and then embossed with my glittery embossing. I had a lot of ink still hanging out so I spattered some around the flower and while it was wet, sprinkled on some more of the glittered ep. I also painted a bit of ink along the edges of the piece. I stamped my sentiment in Versafine Onyx and wish I'd left it there, but I sprinkled on a mix of ep and embossed. I had the same problem with the uneven bg so I ended up going around the writing with my Sharpie to make it more legible. I wanted a bit more shimmer (IRL the whole card sparkles!) so I too my glitter pen and added highlights along the petals.
