Karen gave us a gorgeous color combo which included gold....I took it to mean metallic gold, not golden yellow. Here are her colors:

I chose not to add dessert....I had enough going on.
I used both a matte metallic gold paper and a golden shimmer CS for my base which has such a lovely glow. Unfortunately, that does not show in my photo...so it goes.

Side Note: I notice that some commenters are thinking I cleverly got the sentiment inside the tree. I'm not that good.....the stamp came that way. : )

It's so hard to photograph gold Sallie. This card is beautiful. I love the mottled look of the main image bg and the sentiment fits perfectly on that lovely tree.

Sallie, I love how you did your BG, allowing some of the gold shimmer paper to show through. It looks as if the star is emitting off a golden glow onto the tree. So pretty.
