This is my card for this weekÂ’s cc455. Karen is our hostess and she chose wild wasabi, daffodil delight and gold for her palette. Our dessert is to fussy cut. My cutting this week is all dies.
I wanted to go with a Christmas card so I decided to highlight the gold with a brown metallic neutral for my card base and also the frames I created for my poinsettia.
My gold bg paper is from K & Co –“Christmas Cheer gold words”. I used the Spellbinders Matting Basics A & B to create the rectangle frame. I layered inside that the Spellbinders Decorative Labels 28 cut in the brown metallic.
My poinsettia is cut with the Spellbinders die in daffodil delight. I sponged while in the die for some added depth. My leaves are cut in wild wasabi.
I added some gold ribbon treatment to complete my card. The layout is this weekÂ’s MojoMonday #322.
ThatÂ’s my card for this week. Hope you can play along with us.

What a delightful card, Mary. The metallic card stock makes all the difference in creating a striking card. Love the brown you put in there also - really frames it all so nicely. Love It !!
