This week's teaparty we were asked to decorate cakes for the Bakersville Cake Walk and this is the week we get to "tickle" fellow teapotters!
We were asked to bring cakes of all shapes and sizes and, in the end, I decided to colour up this digi image which is from freevintagedigistamps.blogspot.com. I know it is not so grand as some we will see in the gallery, but, I think it still looks yummy enough to eat and, hopefully, will help Bakersville achieve the world record they are seeking.
After colouring the cake with Derwent pencils, I fussy cut, added rhinestones and glitter, and raised, using dimensionals on the pink checked tablecloth.
It is late so I will comment on the other cards tomorrow.
TFL!

This cake must be yummy, for it's already been sampled! This is like a beautiful scene right out of a Tea Shop! I love how you've given a comfy feeling with the pink gingham! Now, is there room for all of us Teapotters in the Tea Shop?!

Oh Sue, this looks just gorgeous - quite good enough to eat! I love a rich dark cake - and that looks like coffee icing, too - delish. I think we're in a lovely tea-shop here with that pretty sign.

Sue, your card is gorgeous. The cake is beautiful and so is the pink gingham. If I passed by a bake shop looking this elegant and charming I would definitely walk in! What a great card.

Sue, can I say I LOVE THIS! That cake must be yummy because someone already has taken a big slice! Love the gingham paper and the texture you've added. I'm always looking for gingham paper - where do you find it?
