Technique Lover's Challenge 457 - Make a snowman tag or bookmark... without using snowman stamps.
Well I went half and half because I have the old Stampin' Up set, Cold Play, where you build a snowman.
* I started with making the snowman with Spellbinders Nestabilities and taped it onto bashful blue with Cuttlebug snowflake EF.
* I stamped the hat and colored the black part again with a Copic marker so it wasn't blotchy. I cut it out and found that it was too small. So I taped it to a piece of scrap black cardstock and cut around it to make it bigger.
* stamped the scarf using SU real red, bashful blue and lucky limeade, cut it out and glued it on.
* I made the red, blue and lime spots on the bottom of the snowman resemble button by adding two small dots with a basic black marker.
*In order to fit the carrot in for the nose, I could not stamp the eyes and mouth together. I stamped the "cherries" for the mouth first, the carrot second and then went back to stamp the blue eyes. What kids today have coal to put on their snowmen!
* I used a red flower eyelet to resemble the scalloped snowballs and then used that to tie on the black and red gingham ribbon.
