For my WTUI card I used the Magic Snowflake emboss resist tutorial found here. It was very easy to follow & fun to do. I also used this week's SC. It's more layers than I ususally do, so it really was a challenge to go out of my comfort zone. My problem was using the butterfly with the WWhite Craft ink. Some places were dry when I put the embossing powder on. On the third try I used Versamark & white ep. That time all worked well.
This will go to a hairstylist who 'fluffed' my hair. My friend & I met another friend at the salon. Her stylist saw me & said she just wanted to 'mess up my perfect hair'. I said OK. She took me to her chair & made my hair look 200 times better than it did. She even refused to let me pay her or give her a tip. This was the nicest thing anyone has done for me that I didn't know (other than receiving cards from SCS cyber frinds). Needless to say, I made my next hair appointmet with her!!
It was also kind of nice to make something other than a Christmas card. I'm glad I noticed in the tutorial that Vickie wore rubber gloves. This technique is kind of messy!
Thanks for stopping by.

This turned out beautifully. I reckoned Versamark would work perfectly well, but since I had a freshly re-inked white pigment pad, I didn't need to try it out. It's my Versamark that needs reinking, LOL. What a soft and delicate look it gives the butterflies - I'm sure your "new" hair-stylist will be thrilled to receive this.

Those butterflies look like they are floating over the clouds! I haven't had the courage to try more than the very basic resist technique. This looks lovely though and may be the encouragement I need.
